Welcome to the Year 6 page! This year promises to be an exhilarating journey as we prepare for the transition to secondary school and tackle the challenges of the SATs. Throughout the year, children will have numerous opportunities to learn and explore a wide range of topics within all subjects: this includes exploring the history of the Battle of Britain and Crime and Punishment; o sculpting their own dragon eye; cooking a savoury dish and making a steady hand game in D&T; and enhancing our children’s personal and social skills with our residential trip to Wales - we’re gearing up for an unforgettable experience!

Our curriculum is designed both to equip our children with academic knowledge and to empower them to make a positive impact on the world around them. We're dedicated to fostering a strong foundation in mathematics through the mastery approach, using specialised schemes like White Rose Maths to deepen understanding and problem-solving skills. Additionally, we're excited to delve deeper into the rich narratives and teachings from the Bible to nurture spiritual growth and moral understanding. Our aim is to equip the children with the necessary tools and insights needed for success both in and out of the classroom.
