Welcome to Year 5. This year, we are going to be learning lots of new and exciting concepts in a wide range of subjects. We will be going back in time to the 1960s for our Art and History, focusing on fashion and civil rights. We will be flying out of our atmosphere to explore space and our solar system in Science and travelling to Scandinavia to look at the different countries and features in Geography. We will also be getting our chef hats on in Design and Technology as we bake our very own fair trade biscuits, and developing our coding skills further in computing.

Year 5 is an exciting year to deepen knowledge gained from previous years in Maths, whilst getting the chance to explore different genres of writing in English. We will be gaining lots of experience in developing our skills and understanding of rules in a wide range of sports. There will be lots of fun, exploring, learning and enjoyment throughout the year with extra enrichment for the children including trips to the V&A Museum and Hertfordshire Zoo.
