Voluntary Aided Carol Concert

St John's took part in the Harrow Voluntary Aided Carol Concert. This year it took place at St Dominic's Sixth Form College in their chapel. We took a small group of 20 children from our choir to join with the other Voluntary Aided Schools all across Harrow to sing Christmas Carols. Each school had an opportunity to sing the first verse of a carol by themselves before everyone else joined in. The carol that our school led was O Come O Come Emmanuel. We also had readings from the Bible telling the Nativity Story which were read out by a child from each school.  The children sang beautifully and were a credit to the school. James and Mrs Ogunniyi also accompanied the singers on the cello and saxophone throughout the service. An offering was collected to support the work of St Luke's Hospice at the end of the service.
